Founder and Executive Director of Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) 

Tom Kamber is an award-winning social entrepreneur, educator and activist who has created new initiatives in aging, technology, affordable housing and the arts.  As founder and executive director of Older Adults Technology Services (OATS), Tom has helped over 30,000 seniors get online and created the country's first technology-themed community center for older adults.

Call for Individual & Organization Award Nominations

Help us recognize the people that make a difference in the quality of life for older adults.

These awards are presented by the Maryland Gerontological Association every year to recognize individuals or organizations that make a significant difference in the quality of life for older adults in Maryland.

The Award for Individual Achievement: 
Honors an individual for outstanding and on-going contributions to aging-related services, research, administration, or advocacy. 

The Award for Organization Achievement:
Honors a community group, business, or organization that has demonstrated leadership, advocacy, or developed an innovative program for seniors. 

For the Individual & Organization nominations, please submit an online  entry by clicking on the  Nominate  link below. In 500 words or less, tell us who makes a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for older adults. 


Please submit your individual & organization nominations on-line by Thursday, February 15, 2018. 

Awards will be presented at the Annual Spring Conference of the Maryland Gerontological Association on May 23, 2018 at The Meeting House in Columbia, Maryland.  The award recipient is expected to be present to receive the award.
